My paintings are about spiritual ideas. I begin the process of creating a painting by comparing what a spiritual concept means to others and what the concept means to me. I do a number of studies to discover the different ways that the concept may be visualized before completing a painting. Converting a spiritual idea into a figurative representation is an immensely rewarding process for me.
