My lecture will begin with a relaxing, calming and centering mindful practice to ease people into a state of being where they will feel grounded, safe and welcome. I will speak about safe ways to sit with fear, acknowledge it and learn from it. Many people fear that being in touch with their feelings may trigger an overwhelming sense of panic and pain. They may want to run from the uncomfortable emotions they experience. We will discuss that if all they did today was hold themselves together, I am proud of them. Learning to sit with and feel your emotions in a safe nurturing environment will teach you how to let go and grow. Yoga, Reiki and meditation are amazing tools that many people use alongside other healing modalities. Knowing you are not alone, that someone values and respects you, that you matter is very important to me. My mantra for clients is that they are not alone.
