Afghan Tribal Arts have been imported from Afghanistan and Central Asia since the mid-1980s. Owner Abdul Wardak immigrated to the United States and made his home in the Chicago area for over twenty years. Through his endeavors, he learned not only of his passion for the handicrafts of his mother country but also that having this business allowed for a way to help artisans and traders in Afghanistan while increasing cultural awareness with his customers here in the United States. Abdul is more than just a successful entrepreneur. His penmanship and way with words rival his ambition and complement the unique stories he tells through his writings.
