An Introduction to Tai Chi using the 8 Reeling Hands. In this workshop, we will introduce basic tai chi movements and the principles of whole-body movement found in tai chi. Using 8 reeling hands as a template, we will learn to coordinate movements of the hands, hips, and body. This will then lead to 8 basic tai chi movements and their corresponding breathing. Finally, we will put both parts together, and practice the Yang Tai Chi 8 form. Come and learn why the circular, whole-body movements of Tai Chi, are a wonderful supplement to any physical or meditative practice!
